File Smile's features are based on taking the things you need to do often and making them better.

We don't claim to be the be-all and end-all (not today anyway). Just as there is Notepad, WordPad and Word all for text processing, users need different tools for file managing, each with their own strengths and weaknesses.

Open Multiple Folders Simultaneously

From right within File Smile you can see and manage the contents of several folders all at the same time. What's more is that you can toggle on and off your commonly used folders without having to re-navigate to them over and over.

Color Code Your Files

Right click on any file or files and color code them based on your own preferences. Red for 'current', light gray for 'ignore'? It's up to you.

Bookmark Common Folders

If you have certain folders you use all the time, just right click and bookmark them. You can then jump to them in a snap whenever you need them.

Display Your Comments

Add your own comments to each file so you don't need to 'load up' the file name. Comments will be displayed right in the file listing along with file size, date, etc.

Customizable Layout

Tired of black, white and yellow? Colorize the look of File Smile with your own color choices. With the ability to adjust folder heights and widths and rearrange headings you can conserve space or take advantage of it.
